The trait provides little extra value while imposing significant costs. Noxious is also terrible outside of a few niche situations. Mostly, you're spending a trait on decreasing your job output and pop growth on your Homeworld and Guaranteed Habitable Worlds, and increasing your pop upkeep. The benefits it provides are very niche.

If you go the friendly route, yes you do get unique stuff for it. You can "build" baby dragons at starbases with a dragon egg hatchery. And the grown dragon becomes controllable. You become a space dragon breeding ground ahaha. It's great if you run a spritualist/unity based empire.

But they have a hard limit of 10, and cost a ton of gas, crystals, and living metals...
