Dec 9, 2020 · If it is lose or floppy, most likely it is not turning the shaft that puts the PTO in gear. There should be a pin or bolt that goes through the linkage and shaft. I put pressure on the mower deck by standing on it and it didn't move. At some point it did move and when I raised it back up it will not go back down. It is stuck in the upper position and moves about 1/2" up or down when the lever control is used. 3 point still needs pressure to lower but not raise. From the back of the tractor above the left rear tire look at the 3 pth lift arm and you should see the rod that has a nut on it that goes forward to a rotating arm that lifts the mower deck linkages.
